Some Survival Thoughts From Us

Always give a family member or friend your itinerary and a list of local authorities phone numbers (Sheriff's Department, Game and Fish,State Police etc) in case of emergency.  Make a list of any medical needs and/or medications that you might be taking at the time. Also include any allergies  that you may have to penicillin, ampicillin, antihistamines, etc.. Also a brief medical history and list of medications should be kept on your person should you be unable to communicate with medical personnel.

To have an enjoyable camping trip be sure that you have packed everything that you would need by using your camping checklist.  One is provided on this website for you if you do not have your own.  If you have dogs that travel with you, be sure to pack enough food and water for them also.  Just like us, they have their needs too.  When you pack your first aid kit, pack their's also.  Don't forget the other  essentials such as sleeping bags, flashlights and/or solar lanterns, handheld gps, tents , cooking equipment and utensils.
